The lights work across the top (numbers) and on the front (colors are red, orange, black design). There is a coin slot, but we have not gotten that to work. The on and off switch and volume control are located on the back. There is one kink to it which is it doesn't always play songs right away, but it does play once we dust it off and play with the buttons. It may just need a good cleaning and tightening! The top cover slides up and down to insert 45's. the speakers are in good condition. It's a great machine, not many around, would make a perfect Christmas gift, it's just in need of a little TLC!
