Description
Holy grial for every Beatles collector ! never Issued on 7 February 1964, this 78 of Twist and Shout and I Saw Her Standing There, released on the Odeon "Pops" label of EMI in Argentina, is one of the most unique collectables in the world. EMI specifically released it to capitalise on the growing worldwide popularity of the Beatles. By 13 March 1964 the 78 had completely sold out and was replaced by a normal single spinning at 33 1/3 rpm (the SOuth American standard). This release was preceeded by standard (non 78) singles of From Me to You and Please Please Me in late 1963. RECORD IS CRACKED WITH A HAIRLINE IN ABOUT 1/3 OF DIAMETER, BUT REMAINS IN ONE PIECE. (I believe it is playable, but perhaps with a soft "clic" on the crack). BEYOND THIS, THE SURFACE IS IN GREAT CONDITION, WITH NO IMPORTANT MARKS OR SCRATCHES.
