Description
THE BEATLES - 'SECOND ALBUM' 1965 UK*EXPORT* PRESSING LP **MISPRESSED LABELS*** This ultra-rare mispressing comes from a serious Beatles collector who has commissioned me to sell his collection over the coming few months. It comprises some of the rarest and best condition copies ever to be offered for sale. For some of the highlights, please take a look at my 'About Me' page. This extremely rare EXPORT mispressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: CPCS 103 The labels on this copy are REVERSED AND the side 1 label misspells 'McCartney as 'McCarthy' on the writing credit for 'Thank You Girl'. 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims are present on both labels but no tax/price code is visible around either centre hole. N.B. This disc contains the original US mixes. Housed in a front laminated, tri.flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover. Complete with its original Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve. Matrix numbers: YEEX 110-A9 & YEEX 111-A9 Stamper numbers: 1/R & 1/R Disc weight: 151g CONDITION Disc Labels: EXCELLENT PLUS Both are clean & bright with the just a few tiny spindle trails around each centre-hole. The silver centre-hole marker still visible on the side 1 label. Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS Both surfaces are clean, bright & glossy and are totally unmarked upon careful inspection in strong daylight. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals just a few barely visible inner-sleeve removal wispy hairlines but no scuffs, marks or scratches whatsoever. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping. Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS This copy has received just a few careful plays on good quality equipment and my careful play-check at volume revealed no traces of grovewear or background noise on any track. Apart from a hint of normal/light background between tracks, all the huge, reverb-drenched mixes play perfectly without any faults or wear. Cover: EXCELLENT This impressive example has been carefully handled and correctly stored in a non-smoking enviroment and remains clean and strong throughout. The front panel is bright & clean with an unscratched high-gloss laminate which bears just a few minor creases towards the upper left area and a single 'thumbnail' creases near the opening edge. There is some shelfwear to the lower corners but no damage to the upper two. Both opening edges are clean, sharp & unworn with no tears or feathering to either. The rear panel is extremely clean and bright with is only blemish being some small dots written aside the track listing. However, there is no discolouration or missing paper. All the flipbacks are clean and undamaged, as are both seams and the perfectly worded spine. Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD Some general storagewear creasing but no major faults. IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ: If you have a feedback score of less than 10, but please contact me before you place a bid, otherwise it will be removed. Everybody should have a chance of winning, so please do not ask me for a 'Buy It Now' price. I will not end the auction early. Thanks for looking and if you decide to bid, good luck! **Please see my other items for some more rare UK Beatles Records from this collection** I also offer a consigment service.
