Description
If you are frustrated with your finest choir or band performances being spoiled by poor acoustics, take a look at this acoustical shell. The shell consists of five units - three basic panels and two filler panels. They stand nicely behind the three sections of Wenger 6 foot risers that I have (not included in sale). They cover from 14 ft. 6 in. to 16 ft. 2 in. The angle of the top canopy can be adjusted to a desired angle. There are also three height adjustments. In the pictures it is set at the lowest height. This set is selling for $3,814 on Wenger's web site. The acoustical shell is made by Wenger Corporation and is part of their Travelmaster series. As the name suggests, Travelmaster Shells travel and set up easily and store in a small space. With a few fellows who know what they are doing they can be set up in 15 minutes. Setup directions are on the back of the panels and the owner's manual is included. The set is 13 years old and in excellent condition. We made two wooden boxes in which to keep everything  which are included in the sale. The inside of the boxes is padded with carpet. I will warn you that though the panels themselves are light and portable, the wooden boxes we made are heavy requiring two strong men to carry. One thing is sure, when the panels are inside the wooden boxes they won't get damaged. Wenger does sell Travelmaster Move & Store Carts which may make transporting the panels easier if you bought one of them. The panels are owned by Faith Mennonite High School where I am the music teacher and choir director. Since they were purchased we built a permanent shell on the side of our gym where we give music programs. So we no longer need the portable shell. The school is located in southeastern Pennsylvania in central Lancaster County. The panels in the boxes can be hauled in the back of a pickup truck. If you don't want the wooden boxes we could work out a way to safely transport the panels without them. Thanks for looking!
